Bankgirot is a proprietary clearing system in Sweden used for transactions such as bill payments since 1959. It is owned by Swedish banks. The clearing system is connected with the banks, enabling payments to be received directly into bank accounts.
Many Swedish small and medium-sized enterprises have not upgraded their business software to an ISO 20022 compatible version, because of time, budget, or technical debt. Especially small enterprises are still using older versions of ERP systems that work with the legacy Bankgirot format.
Jeeves Information Systems, commonly known as Jeeves, is an enterprise resource planning system and software developer, that is very popular in Sweden. Our solution converts files exported from older versions of Jeeves into a format that is acceptable for any Swedish bank. Our Bankgirot converter enables business continuity for small and medium-sized businesses.

Bankgirot processes payments and information about incoming and outgoing payments for all parties. A bankgiro number is an address that points to a bank account. A bankgiro number can be associated with the bank and account number of your choice. Bankgirot offers Leverantörsbetalningar, or Supplier Payments in English, which is a comprehensive payments service that your company can use for paying supplier invoices, salaries and taxes to bank accounts in Sweden.
The individual payments are recorded in a standardized way as so-called records. The records have a conventional 80-character layout, split into fields with different content. This is an illustration of a record (opening record and payment instructions) as well as their corresponding mappings in ISO 20022.
Our solution extracts payment information from Bankgirot payment records (TK14), such as amount, debtor, creditor, execution date. Required values that do not exist in the old format, such as clearing number of creditor agent, debtor agent, etc., can be entered manually as parameters in a Settings page.
